Classes: Designed to help you better understand your pet, this course will enable you to train your dog to be a welcome member of the family. Information will include how dogs learn and dogs as pack animals. The emotional issues involved in dealing with a dog will also be explained. This information will provide you with a better understanding of why your dog does what he does. Dog obedience training is a continuous process. Plan on spending 15-20 minutes each day working with your pet to gain maximum benefit from these classes.
Obedience Classes: Intermediate Classes This class is designed to perfect the basic commands that the dog/puppy has learned in his first 6 weeks of beginner class. Dogs that are ready for it may be allowed off leash. For those interested in them, we discuss obedience trials and what is required to enter them. Obedience ring procedures are taught to those who are interested and for those that just want a more obedient pet at home we work on longer stays - further away - more distractions during exercises - off leash work if the dog is ready for that. Dogs in this class may vary in their ability and each dog is allowed to work at their own level. Advanced Classes will cover the following: Agility: Intermediate All off lead, obstacles moving to full height and small courses run to teach course handling skills. Advanced For all dogs running in novice, open and excellent. Advanced skills and course speed emphasized. Handling Class: This class is designed for the purebred dog that is getting ready to be shown in the conformation ring - which judges the dog according to the standard for that particular dog's breed.. You will learn the correct way to present your breed in the show ring. Stacking, gaiting, and ring etiquette are just some of the skills you will learn. Who May Attend? dogs must have completed all of their vaccinations including rabies, usually between the ages of 4-6 months. Older, adult dogs are welcome and encouraged to attend.
